  1. WRONG! I live in North Florida (Panhandle) and over the years have planted at least 4 from this list (and in the case of the Canary Island Date Palm-tried that one 3 different times). All died during a colder winter. Whoever wrote this is incorrect and did not do proper research. Do not purchase these palms and expect them to live in a cold winter.
