Surely you’re not growing the right variety. Try to grow varieties that are suitable for climate of Florida. It would be better if you’d mentioned your growing zone. Here are some tips.
1. The climate is rather hot in sunshine state so French and Spanish Lavender are recommended.
2. Plant lavender plants in a location where they’ll get shade from afternoon sun. Consider planting them under a tree.
3. Provide good drainage to lavender, it is essential for its growth. As humidity level in Florida remains higher in summer, take care not to water frequently.
4. Also check out the soil you’re using, if it is heavy, replace it. Lavender prefers poor, sandy and loose soil.
